501(c)(3) And Loving It!
Just in time for us to start promoting our spring fundraising event, “One Grand Night”, we recently got the news from the IRS that we have been approved as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization!
This status means you can write off your donations to Spectrum! And that’s just the beginning….
We plan to use our status to apply for grant funds which we will use both to continue producing the kinds of concerts you have come to expect from Spectrum and to present new and exciting programs in the coming years.
This announcement as well as the formation of a Board of Directors is part of an exciting period of growth here at Spectrum. After over 35 years of presenting outstanding chamber music performances featuring musicians of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and friends, we figured it was about time for an upgrade.
So please keep us in mind as you consider your charitable donation plans. Your contribution helps us pay our musicians for their time and talent, as well as get the word out about our performances.
I hope we’ll all be able to see each other again in person for our big end-of-season fundraising event at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth in late May.
