About This Concert
Come out of the cold and into an evening of warm, intimate chamber music. The program opens with “Orion”, a lyrical trio by local composer Till MacIvor Meyn, blending jazz- and tango-inspired colors. Charles Martin Loeffler’s Two Rhapsodies follow, an evocative, atmospheric work inspired by French poetry. The program concludes with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s String Quintet in G minor, one of his most searching chamber works—dark, urgent, and profoundly human, yet ending in radiant warmth.
