    Welcome to the 2021-22 Spectrum Season

    As Executive Director of Spectrum Chamber Music Society, I want to welcome you to our 35th season of presenting outstanding chamber music performances featuring musicians of the Fort Worth Symphony and friends! We have some exciting plans for the 2021-22 season: —As we cautiously move back to in-person concerts, we are excited to announce the return to our original home, First Jefferson Unitarian Universalist Church, for our usual three Spectrum East concerts (all on Monday evenings at 7:30pm): October 18, 2021, and February 28 and April 25, 2022. The October 18th concert will feature another new work by local composer, Till MacIvor Meyn (this time for two Eb clarinets and…

    “ONE GRAND NIGHT”, Indeed

    On May 27, 2021, Spectrum Chamber Music Society presented our first major fundraising event, “ONE GRAND NIGHT”, featuring Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Music Director Laureate Miguel Harth-Bedoya conducting an exceptional wind ensemble in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s epic Gran Partita. Despite the lingering remnants of the COVID pandemic still around us, we took  a chance on the miracles of medical science (i.e., vaccinations) and presented this fundraiser as our first in-person event since the pandemic shut everything down in Spring 2020.     501(c)(3) And Loving It!

    Just in time for us to start promoting our spring fundraising event, “One Grand Night”, we recently got the news from the IRS that we have been approved as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization! This status means you can write off your donations to Spectrum! And that’s just the beginning…. We plan to use our status to apply for grant funds which we will use both to continue producing the kinds of concerts you have come to expect from Spectrum and to present new and exciting programs in the coming years.
